Né en 1960 à Garoua, Martin Poulibé est un artiste camerounais polyvalent : acteur, réalisateur, producteur et auteur de bandes dessinées. Historien et archéologue de formation, il mène d’abord une carrière administrative avant d’être découvert fortuitement en 2002 alors qu’il travaillait pour Daewoo Motors. Filmé à son insu par un réalisateur, son talent naturel le propulse sur le devant de la scène.

Depuis, il a bâti une filmographie impressionnante, incluant des productions internationales comme White Material (2009) ou Coup de foudre à Yaoundé (2017). Récompensé par deux Canal d’Or et un Sotigui d’Or en 2017 pour l’ensemble de sa carrière, il officie désormais comme ambassadeur des Sotigui Awards en Afrique Centrale. Homme de transmission, Poulibé forme bénévolement la relève du cinéma camerounais. Son parcours incarne l’excellence du septième art national, passant du monde de l’entreprise aux sommets du cinéma africain.
